I like the topic about sports. I love sports.
DeleteIn my opinion, there should be a type of chat for the students to comunicate with each other directly from the blog. A translator can also be intgrated in the corner for those need-to-define words. And finaly, a music or media player, because like me, many other students do their work while listening to music.

DeleteHmmm, political sattire seems like an overused theme in this country, as well as economy and violence issues, so, I might suggest some other theme, maybe something like discusion of a movie, movie series or any kind of series in general. another thing that would be interesting would be in computers (By that I mean anything about them, hardware software, videogames, the internet, etc...). Last thing that I thing could be interesting would be health news or interesting medical discoveries.

Deletei can answer your first question, the only way you can learn english without reading is by joining in a english conversation, That way you dominate the accent but i would recomend reading while writing.
