We're approaching the end of the semester. What does this mean? A lot of work, final exams, and probably a lot of stress!! The good news is that then summer vacation begins....unless you plan to take summer classes. =D
I've enjoyed teaching the course. It's been a challenge and fun at the same time. Had a few good laughs. Hope you've learned something.

1.What did you like most about the course?
ReplyDeleteWhat I liked most was the dynamics of the course itself. I never had taken a course were responding and getting involved in a blog would be necessary. I think it’s innovating and more appealing to us the student.
2. What didn't you like about the course?
I dint seem to think anything bad about the course except the modules that don’t make any sense on why we have to do them.
3. What is your opinion about the textbook?
The text book was pretty straight through and it dint involve too much critical thinking. It’s not like an ethics class book that has a lot of sophisticated words and such.
4. Was this the first time you had a blog as part of a course?
Yes, this was the first time I ever had taken a course that involved a blog.
5. What do you think about the blog?
The blogs were pretty fun, they serve as a different mechanism to illustrate thing outside of the class room.
6. Which blog entry did you like the most?
What is Art? Was the blog entry I liked the most. I thought it was very interesting Phil Hansen art work it impresses how creativity work sometimes.
7. Which blog entry did you NOT like?
Alone on a Hilltop.
8. What is something you would have liked to do in the class that was not done?
A debate would have been good. I believe it would have been perfect for everyone to illustrate different perspective about a topic.
9. Is there something you would change about the course?
No, I would not change anything.
10. What other comment do you have about the class?
It was fun having you Prof. Maritza Munoz as our course professor. It’s my last semester in college so thanks’ to you I’ll leave college with a good taught and remember back at all of this. I had the opportunity to experience a different way on teaching throughout the blogs and I think it was pretty fun there were lots of subject’s that were mention in class and were very interesting. It was a pleasure to have taken the course with you!

ReplyDeleteThe most that i like about our course was the way the profesor allways try to give us the oportunity and lots of diferents works to get a good grade to have sucess in the class.

I enjoy the whole course there was really nothing bad about it only the lab modules i did not like.

I think the textbook is okay very good organize and i really understood it , but i prefer the way to teach is a profesor well prepared giving us everthing they know for the student lots of theory and examples.

Funny or offensive , I really dont pay attention to people that make fun or not , I think there’s more important things that mean more importance then that.

Not really

Nothing everthing was straight to the point all okay nothing to change.
10. What other comment do you have about the class?
Well this is my last course of english i never expected a profesora like Maritza that she allways giving students a break to give works even if there not in time , easy test , good reviews , never thought that it was going to be so good taking a english class like this. So I hope she keeps doing this good work and teaching in the university and a lot of blessing for her and her family. Thanks Profesora ;) for everthing.
So, I'm an easy professor??? I'm going to have to change my ways...LOL! Just kidding. I'm not here to make students' lives a living hell, but I do expect them to be responsible. ReplyDeleteWhat I liked the most was that the professor was very responsible and never missed a class which made my drive to college worth it because I always had class.

I didn't like the blog because most of the time I would forget to log in.

I liked the text book, it was very helpful in the classroom. It was a simple textbook and used simple vocabulary so everyone would understand it.

Yes it was the first time I used a blog as part of a course. It would have been a boost in my grade if I would have been more responsible.

I didn't like it because like said earlier I would forget to log on and for that reason I'd rather not have to use a blog.
6. Which blog entry did you like the most?
The blog entry I liked the most was the "what is art?" entry. I liked how special effects can change a picture and make it look totally different to what is really looks like and the different types of art that exists.
7. Which blog entry did you NOT like?
I didn't like the ones I couldn't do.
8. What is something you would have liked to do in the class that was not done?
Go to a museum to see the different kind of art that exists in Puerto Rico.
9. Is there something you would change about the course?
I would have eliminated the grammar part which includes nouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs etc... and changed it to actually teaching us how to speak proper english. I also think that the grammar part should only be required for those student that want to teach english as a second language.
10. What other comment do you have about the class?
Other than that I wouldn't change anything about the class. I really enjoyed it.
Well, I did miss class a few times, but I always told you beforehand. Thanks for seeing me as responsible. Wish you had liked the blog. Next time, write down the dates or use your cell phone's calendar. That's what I do when I don't want to forget somethng.

ReplyDeleteWhat I really liked was that I realized at first I saw almost would not pass, the course was challenging but I could get to the end.

Honestly I do not like having to speak in front of people and less in English and do the essays.

I don’t buy it, so don’t know at all what it has but according to the exercises and problems was very productive and I learned several things.

Yes, is the first time and it was quite interesting and easy. Some course should have more this kind of techniques.

It was a new instrument that helped a lot to have new ways of doing work for the class and entertaining.

I like WHAT IS ART? The way of art it was very creative.

I don’t like that who speaks of innocence that have many Puerto Ricans on the economic status of Puerto Rico when it should not be that way.

Just for a matter of practice making more paragraphs just to have a major grammar in class.
9. Is there something you would change about the course?
I actually did not change anything.

Only a few professors are like Prof. Muñoz, I liked the way that she gave the class, even those that for some students its easier for me is still a challenge. I like her techniques and also she always provide the opportunity to everybody to participate in the class. I hope that she will continue with that consideration and I wish her the best of best as a teacher. Thanks

This English class was the most that I liked of the three I've taken. I also like the dynamics and the different activities that were made as the blog and the circles in the center of the classroom. It was a pleasure to have taken this class with you. Take care and much success.
LOL! You made me laugh with the oral presentation comment. I usually like to give at least one oral presentation, but since the group started off very big it would have taken up too much time.

I think it's very important that students connect with each other. It's a way to learn from others and a way to make new friends. I'm glad you liked the dynamics used in class.

The class was interesting and its a shame it came to end.
I like to give movies, but I would have to use at least 2 class periods because class is not long enough to watch a movie.

I totally agree with your last answer. Without the participation of the students, the class can become boring when you just listen to the professor or a few students.

ReplyDeleteHonestly, the pofesor. Prof. Muñoz made the class interesting, gave us plenty of work but a the same explained all the material to the point that everyone could understand it.
2. What didn't you like about the course?
Well like most of us nobody enjoys the lab modules, they are the boring part of any course. Besides that nothing really.
3. What is your opinion about the textbook?
To be honest, i did not have it and mostly i just had photo copies or read from someone elses. But from what i saw it seems to compliment the class and makes it a little easier for the prof. Muñoz to explain the subjects.

Yes it was. Theres a first time for everything i guess.

It is an interesting way to get the attention of the students. These days most of us spend alot of time browsing the internet, so having the oportunity to visit a diferent type of site besides blackboard to earn points for the class is interesting.

I honestly enjoyed the class fully. My classmates were mostly people i already knew, the profesor was awsome and im not the easiest student to deal with but she did, has a great sense of humor and thats the best thing about her because most profesor usually get mad or ofended by some of the jokes i make. This is my last English class and im glad i was able to take it with such a great profesor.
